I develop for the creative community.

These projects require planning and execution.

As you know, this takes time.

I depend on providing services to pay for fixed costs.

Covering costs makes time for development.

Ironically, this process removes valuable time from target development.

But, with your help, we can create time for the projects we love best.
I measure my labour carefully through time tracking and a point based Kanban system, open publicly.

When I assign points to project tasks, I can work and delegate time efficiently.

You can follow progress directly on my custom Gsheet Kanban, discuss labour on Discord, and subscribe to my bi-weekly newsletter to be up to speed.

But we can do more...

When you donate or become a monthly patron, every dollar counts towards one of these projects.

We can cover studio costs. When we do, I can re-assign dedicated hours to elaborate projects, delegate tasks, and produce more for you and the creative community.

Projects

These are the projects I'm working on. Each project includes a description, in-depth information, progress, current status, and more.

Do you like any of these projects?

You can support any of these projects in progress or to do with a patronage or direct donation.

I'm Andres Stephens who has worked as a Technical Director and 3D Generalist based in Bogota, Colombia. I've worked in the industry for +10 years producing linear content like short films, product showcases, motion graphics, infographics, children's television series and more for various clients locally and internationally.

I've directed small teams to elaborate entire projects from idea to final products, including work in all areas from story writing, audio production, pre-production, production to and post-production. My pipeline has been based on Softimage, but now includes using opensource software like Blender, Krita and Inkscape and rasterization rendering techniques with Unreal Engine to produce quality content with low-overhead costs and creative flexibility. I principally use and help develop an opensource UI centric fork of Blender: Bforartists.

Modeling, lookdev, rigging, illumination, shading, rendering and animation are all developed skills.

I am bilingual: fluent in Spanish and English, I can delegate and work with local talent to scale productivity with one consistent artist portfolio, hands-free. Working with me is organized and transparent. If the workflow is remote: I use a near live kanban system, with measured and tracked hours, and open activity tracking for 100% productivity, and in studio I'm a friendly team player and love to share techniques openly and learn quickly. I love working with and helping others.

With all that said, I specialize in children's television and similar animation styles, with animatics, layout, blocking, character design, animation and environment design - and my preference is in lookdev and storytelling.
